Below are some of Boston’s coolest free classes you can start taking advantage of…today!
ImprovBoston Drop-In Workshops
Love to laugh? The get ready to immerse yourself in a whole new world at one of New England’s best comedy theatres. Just show up to ImprovBoston in Cambridge on a Saturday from 1-2:30, and you’ll get a hands on, top-notch introduction to improv. Not only is it free…you can even take the Intro to Improv course twice if you wish.
Once you’re hooked, ImprovBoston also provides a variety of paid classes to further your skills.
Ballroom In Boston Dance Classes
Ever wish that you could dance like the stars? Well, get started for free at Ballroom in Boston. The Allston based studio offers a free dance class each Friday evening, that includes styles like the Rumba or Hustle. Make sure to sign up online before, and get ready to dance!
MIT Korean Language Class
If you’re thinking of traveling to Seoul, or if you just love learning new languages- then the MIT Korean language class would love to have you. Organized by Korean volunteers from the MIT community, the Wednesday evening classes are completely free, require no registration, and will introduce anyone to the Korean language and culture.
Sessions are offered during the spring, summer and fall, and include an elementary and intermediate component.
Boston Public Library Free Online Courses
Rather learn about something from the comfort of your couch? It’s now super easy if you have a valid BPL card. Your account number gives you access to hundreds of free online courses where you could learn how to blog or podcast, use Microsoft Office applications or even learn Sign Language.
Each six week course consist of a couple of lessons per week, with professional instruction to guide you along.
