Due to recommendations to practice social distancing due to the COVID-19 virus, pharmacies Walgreens and CVS have suspended delivery costs on all eligible prescriptions.
While they will not be waiving delivery fees for household items like toilet paper and disinfectant, Walgreens and CVS are helping to lower the financial burden of those who are stuck inside during this time and still need their medications.
“The latest steps we’re taking will help ensure patients of all ages have every option available to them when it comes to filling prescriptions,” Troyen Brenn, Chief Medical Officer at CVS Health, said in a statement.
