Money Saving Tips

*Every Monday throughout 2014 I will be sharing Money Savings Tips to help stick to and expand your budget!

Planning Ahead is one of my favorite money saving tips and can be used and interrupted many different ways. By planning ahead you can save so much money because you are prepared for the upcoming expenses as well as have a game plan.

You also tend to overspend less because you foresee expenses and plan for them.

For example, I really need want a snow blower this winter. The best month to buy a snow blower is August since it’s not a popular item in the summer. I will pay a lot less for a snow blower in August than I would after the first snow storm by planning ahead.

There are many different “best times to buy list” and I recommend checking out to help you figure out when to buy certain items like this one and this one.

Also, planning ahead for big spending months (like December) can help your budget. Start brainstorming for gift ideas now and start making a holiday budget. Try planning ahead and buying items when they are at the lowest price to help overspending the week before Christmas.

Do you plan ahead your expenses? Have you already started Christmas shopping?
