Restaurants in Massachusetts are kicking off indoor dining starting today, however, not without health and safety specifications.

As the state enters the second step of Phase 2, indoor dining, along with nail salons and tattoo parlors can open up again.

For the next two weeks, Governor Baker will be looking into the data on coronavirus cases and will use that to decide if the state will move forward with Phase 3.

“Reopening Massachusetts is working [I] know it can’t happen fast enough, but the steps to slow the virus are working,” Baker stated.

Here are a few things to know before you make a reservation (highly encouraged) at your favorite restaurant:

  • All patrons must wear a mask while waiting to be seated at a restaurant
  • No more than six people at a table
  • Tables will need to be placed six feet apart, or separated by a barrier
  • Menus must be reusable and singe-use
  • Bar seats are a no-go
