Boston Tree Lightings Christmas 2016Visiting a tree lighting in Boston is a great way to get into the holiday cheer and there’s a lot of tree lighting ceremonies in Boston– before and after– Thanksgiving.

Here’s the schedule for tree lightings in Boston for the 2016 holiday season:

Holiday Tree Lighting on Newbury Street: Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 6-11pm. Kicks off the holidays on Newbury Street with the first night of lights!

Faneuil Hall Tree Lighting Spectacular: Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 3-10pm. Enjoy live holiday musical performances as well as the tree lighting to 80 foot Christmas Tree! (There will also be a live broadcast on WBZ from 8-9pm if you can’t make it in person)

Trellis Lighting Ceremony: Monday, November 21, 2016 at Christopher Columbus Park at 5pm. Watch the park’s trellis light up blue and white for the holiday season!

The Charles Hotel Tree Lighting Event: Saturday, November 26, 2016 from 4-6:30pm. Enjoy holiday music, a visit from Santa Claus and a tree lighting at 5:30pm. Free, but please bring new hats, gloves, and baby coats to donate to Cradles for Crayons.

Roslindale Tree Lighting: Saturday, November 26, 2016 from 3-5pm. Enjoy this annual tree lighting with holiday music, Santa, and a tree lighting!

Copley Square Tree Lighting Festivities: Monday, November 28, 2016 at Copley Square from 5-6pm. Get into the holiday spirit with holiday music, a visit from Santa and the lighting of the Copley Square Tree!

Frog Pond Skating Spectacular and Tree Lighting: Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Boston Common Frog Pond from 5-6pm. Enjoy a free ice skating show from The Skating Club of Boston then a tree lighting ceremony!

First Light Brookline: Thursday, December 1, 2016 in Brookline from 5-8pm. Enjoy music, events, and fun around town!

Mayor’s Enchanted Trolley Tour and Tree Lighting: Friday, December 2, 2016 in neighborhoods across the city. Mayor Walsh will be lighting Christmas trees and bringing joy and presents to various neighborhoods in Boston.

Light Up Seaport: Friday, December 2, 2016 in the Seaport District. Head to the Seaport for the first annual tree lighting with holiday music, treats, ad more!

Mayor’s Walsh’s Tree Lighting: Sunday, December 4, 2016 at 12pm at 450 West Broadway. Head to W Broadway Municipal Lot in South Boston for some holiday fun with ponies, music, and holiday fun. Free.

Also, don’t forget about Edaville’s famous Christmas Festival of Lights in Carver, MA which opens November 18, 2016. Tickets are pricey but Groupon has discount tickets for $36 (affiliate link) with admission for one and unlimited soft drinks in a souvenir cup.
