Free Lunch at Boston Common: Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 11:30am. Stop by the corner of Beacon & Charles Street in the Boston Common on Saturday, 9/27/14 starting at 11:30am where Capital One 360 Café will be handing out 360 free boxed lunches.

What the Fluff? Festival: Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 3-7pm in Union Square. Celebrate the Union Square Invention with performances, games, contests, and more.

Berklee Beantown Jazz Festival: Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 12pm to 6pm in the South End. Enjoy a big block party with great music, vendors, and much more. Free.

Let’s Talk About Food Festival: Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Copley Square. Talk about food at this all day festival with so many activities and fun.

The New England Americana Festival: September 27, 2014 from 12-9pm in Harvard Square. Enjoy this family friendly event with many music performances and more! The festival is free.

Heartbeat: A Modern Dance Rock Concert: Sunday, September 28, 2014 at the Oberon in Cambridge. Enjoy a fun evening with a modern dance rock concert. Tickets are $20, but use promo code BUDGET for half-price tickets.

Craft Beer Cellar Oktoberfest: Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 2-5pm in Belmont. Celebrate German beer and food with a free tasting and more.

Circle the City: Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 1-5pm on Blue Hill Avenue. Blue Hill Avenue will be shut down on Sunday for cars but open to the public for music, fitness and dance classes, art making, games, and more.

Fall Festival at Gore Place: Sunday, September 28, 2014 at the Gore Place in Waltham. Enjoy a crazy pumpkin drop, live music, antique cars, and much more! Tickets are $10 for adults (members and kids 12 and under are free) but you can get discount tickets for $5 through Goldstar (affiliate).

Free Farm Day: Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 2-5pm in Waltham. Get into the fall spirit at Waltham Fields Community Farms with carrot harvesting, pumpkin bowling, recipe sampling, and much more! Free.

National Public Lands Day: Saturday, September 27, 2014 nationwide. All national parks are free on Saturday for National Public Lands Day!

Free Museum Day: Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 57 museums in Massachusetts and nationwide. Request a free museum pass thanks to the Smithsonian Magazine!

Sunday Parkland Games: Every Sunday through September 28, 2014 from 3:30pm-6pm in Cambridge. Free Sunday games along the banks of the Charles River every Sunday in the summer.

ICA: Saturday, September 27, 2014. The ICA is free for families (with children under 12) the last Saturday of every month, except December.
