The Fourth is almost here – and DFW is full of places to celebrate. Here’s what’s happening! All activities take place on July 4 unless otherwise noted.
Fort Worth’s Fourth – family-oriented celebration at Panther Island Pavilion with kids’ activities, an F-16 flyover, food and more. Free admission, but parking is a minimum of $10. Reserved seats for 10 p.m. fireworks run $40 each as part of a “VIP Package.”
Stockyards 4th of July Celebration – free event in Stockyards from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; face painting for kids, gunfight show and live music.
Old Fashioned Family Fireworks Picnic – at the FW Botanic Garden from July 2-4. Patriotic music from the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and fireworks afterward. $22 for lawn seats; tables are extra. Get info here.
Family Fireworks Celebration – for families at NAS Fort Worth JRB on Saturday, July 2 from 5-10 p.m. Includes inflatables, cardboard boat regatta, live music, food trucks and more.
4thFEST (Bedford) – free admission; at Boys Ranch Park. Family-Friendly activities, car show, and fireworks at 10 p.m.
July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza (Grapevine) – a fireworks show over Lake Grapevine will begin at 9:30 p.m. at Oak Grove Park.
Stars & Stripes 2016 (Southlake) – On July 3 at Southlake Town Square beginning at 6 p.m. Fireworks, patriotic music, kids events and more. Free.
Family 4th Fireworks (North Richland Hills) – free; begins at 5 p.m. at the Hills Center. Kids activities, country music concert at 8 p.m. and fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
4th of July Parade (Richland Hills) – begins at 9:30 a.m. at Richland Middle School. See parade route here. Kids are invited to ride in parade with bikes decorated in red, white and blue. There will be a bike decorating workshop onsite beginning at 8:30 a.m. Free food and fun after the parade at the middle school.
Hurst Stars & Stripes – begins at 5 p.m. at Hurst Community Park. Face painting, inflatables, food vendors and fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Take the shuttle to the event from North East Mall. Free.
Various events in Trophy Club – includes 5K at 7:15 a.m., parade at 9:30 a.m. and evening celebration from 6-10 p.m. with fireworks. Free; wristbands needed for kids’ activities (free for residents and $10 for non-residents).
Roanoke’s 3rd Rocks – this event happens on Sunday, July 3 beginning at 6 p.m. Live music, bounce house, rock climbing wall and fireworks. BBQ dinner available for $4 each (cash only). Takes place at Roanoke Community Park, 201 Park Dr.
July 4th Parade & Picnic (Double Oak) – Parade at 9:30 a.m. and picnic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Wright Memorial Park. Food, fun and live music.
Keller 4th of July Bike Parade – inaugural event that begins at Keller Town Hall at 9:30 a.m. Kids ages 2-12 can participate in the parade at no charge.
Independence Fest 2016 (Flower Mound) – daylong event that kicks off with children’s parade and fireworks around 9:50 p.m. Vintage car show, kids activities, food vendors and more.
Red, White & Lewisville – Fireworks set to begin at about 9:30 p.m. Best viewing areas are between State Highway 121 and the south side of Vista Ridge Mall.
Irving 4th of July Celebration – includes morning parade, kids activities and evening fireworks. Info about parade here and info on fireworks here.
Rockin’ 4th of July (Mansfield) – also takes place on July 3; held at Big League Dreams Mansfield Sports Park from 7-10 p.m. Free admission, bounce house, music and fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Lone Stars & Stripes Celebration – at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie on both July 3 and 4. from 3 p.m. – until. Live music, kids zone, and fireworks around 10 p.m. General admission $5 and parking is $20.
Parade of Lights (Grand Prairie) – on Saturday, July 2 at Loyd Park near Joe Pool Lake from 9 p.m. to midnight. Info here.
Burleson 4th of July Celebration – at Chisenhall Fields sports complex beginning at 7:30 p.m. Live music and fireworks.
Celebration of Freedom (Crowley) – happens the following week on July 9 with parade at 10 a.m. and fireworks at dark.
Arlington 4th of July Parade – from approximately 9:03 a.m. until 11 a.m. See parade route here.
Light Up Arlington – the city’s annual fireworks show on July 3 from 6 to 10:30 p.m. Kid zone, live music, and food trucks. Fireworks at 9:45 p.m.
Old Fashioned Fourth Fireworks (DeSoto/Lancaster) – at Lancaster’s Community Park. Includes family fun, carnival-style food, bounce houses, face painting, games, live entertainment and an old fashion firework show at the Helen Giddings Amphitheater. Free.
Boomin’ 4th (Hudson Oaks) – free event beginning at 6 p.m. with fireworks at 9:15 p.m. Food vendors, kids activities and more.
Follow the Flag (Azle) – from 7-10 p.m. at Azle Central Park. Enjoy live musical entertainment and a professional fireworks display set to music around 9:15 pm. Free.
Independence Day City-Wide Family Picnic (Rhome) – on July 2 at noon, Rhome Family Park.
Granbury 4th of July Celebration – this is actually a weekend full of festivities from July 2-4; see the schedule here. Fireworks over Lake Granbury at 9:45 p.m. Monday.
4th of July events in Glen Rose – Live music beginning at 4 p.m. with fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Takes place at Wheeler Branch Reservoir. The city’s parade is the same day at 9 a.m.; arrive at Glen Rose Elementary with parade entries that morning.
