photo walkofgratitude_zpsf55321a1.pngThis Saturday, Dec. 13, military charity Snowball Express will hold a Walk of Gratitude in downtown Fort Worth around 9:30 a.m. This event is a way for local residents to show their appreciation for the families of military personnel who have died during their service. Feel free to bring flags, patriotic signs and any other items you feel might help create a festive atmosphere! The parade will run down Main St. between 9th and 4th streets. See a map here. Organizers are asking attendees to arrive around 9 a.m.

Snowball Express flies in children of fallen soldiers (and their surviving caretakers) to Dallas every year for a fun weekend. Airfare is paid for. If you are a surviving spouse with surviving children, you can apply to attend around September. See an FAQ here.
