kimbell art museum spring break

During the week of Spring Break, the Kimbell Art Museum will host a variety of free art-centric kids’ activities to keep your students entertained. It’s a great way to get out of the house and do something new and exciting with your kids during this week off from school.

The museum will have a variety of ongoing art activities, interactive family tours, drawing events led by guest artists, creative improv, afternoon yoga, and more. You can find a complete list of activities and times here. Remember, all of these activities are totally free of charge.

The 2019 spring break program will take place March 12-14 (Tues-Thurs) from 10 am to 3 pm and on Friday, March 15 from noon to 4 pm. There’s also a Facebook event page with more info.

Admission to the museum’s permanent collection is also free always.

The Kimbell Art Museum boasts a remarkable collection of works that include pieces from Michelangelo, Fra Angelico, Picasso, Money, and more. There are works of art and antiquities from all across the world.

The buildings the museum call home are a work of art themselves. The museum is highly renowned for its architecture, with the 1972 building designed by American architect Louis I. Kahn and the 2013 building designed by world-famous Italian architect Renzo Piano.

The Kimbell is at 3333 Camp Bowie Blvd. in Fort Worth.
