photo southlakehomeholidays_zps8bbdcacf.pngThis weekend kicks off Southlake’s Home for the Holidays, a free-of-charge annual tradition that includes Christmas fun over the next few weeks. The fun starts on Saturday, Nov. 22 with a Christmas tree lighting at Southlake Town Square at 6:30 p.m., followed by live children’s choir performances, a four-lane snow tubing hill, and a visit from Frozen’s Olaf. Santa will be available for photos from 6:40 to 8:30 p.m. that night, as well as Anna and Elsa. Kids can also participate in Frozen-themed crafts. See a map of the festivities here and a parking map here.

Old-fashioned carriage rides will also be available around the square for a $25 fee; see info on that here. Carriages will be in operation on weekends through Christmas.

When Saturday’s events are over, there’s still plenty more holiday fun to be had in Southlake. Southlake Town Hall will host breakfast with Santa on Dec. 6 and 13. Reservations are recommended. School-age kids can also enroll in holiday break camps to keep them entertained during their off time.
