This Saturday, Oct. 15, bring the family to the Botanical Research Institute of Texas for Solar Saturday, a special event designed to teach people about the power and benefits of solar energy. Representatives from the North Texas Renewable Energy Group will be on hand to give demonstrations of a solar shuttle, which showcases two full-size, fully independent portable electric systems capable of powering a modest, energy-efficient home. The presentation begins at 11:30 a.m.
Since this is also Family Saturday, you can come and go as you please from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free!
