In amongst all the daily-deal sites, I’ve noticed another type of store pop up – the online designer “boutique” stores. These websites allow you to buy designer, couture clothing, gifts and home goods for bargain-basement prices. So if you have champagne taste and a beer budget (like me), be sure to check them out! Their sales are usually specific to a single designer and run for just a few days. Here are some of the best boutiques I’ve come across:
Rue La La – This site focuses mostly on clothing and jewelry, though a few luxury home-furnishings sales and other odds and ends pop up. Sales go live at 11 a.m. each day and there’s an option to preview upcoming boutiques. Be warned, the popular ones sell out fast! They also have “local picks” for certain cities, but they haven’t gone live for DFW yet. Join Rue La La now.
Totsy – This private sale site is oriented towards parents, as it’s filled with boutiques for designer kids’ clothes, finely crafted toys, and decorations. A few women’s clothing and maternity boutiques are sometimes available. I bought my son a very nice pirate ship set from Totsy recently, for his birthday this fall. Join Totsy now. Zulily – Great finds on boys and girls clothing, women’s clothes, home goods, handbags and more. Deals go live at 4 a.m. central, so be an early riser (or a night owl) for the best selection!
