Save $$ Through Rebates...Here's HowSure, you can save money at the grocery store with coupons…but if you’re like me, you either don’t have time to hunt down and clip them, or you forget to bring them entirely! That’s why I like the grocery-rebate apps that are available these days for smartphones. With these programs, you sign up, and then submit receipts when you buy products to get cash back on your purchases. I have easily gotten back $30 or more over the past few months through these programs. Here are a few of my favorites:

Ibotta – This is probably the most popular rebate app out there. They’re constantly updating the app with new offers, and there are even a few “any brand” rebates out there for things like produce and dairy products. Sign up here – it’s free and easy!

Checkout 51 – Another fun one that works similar to Ibotta. Join here – also a free app, and they’re quick to credit your account.

SavingStar – works just like the other two; as a bonus, they also have occasional “100% free” offers, where you get back the full purchase price of a certain item. I got one last week for a Cadbury Creme Egg! Join here.

EBates – This one is a little different; instead of using this one for grocery store purchases, you use it when you shop online. Lots of retailers are in their network. Simply start at EBates before you shop, and you’ll get a percentage back after your purchase is completed. I got $1.50 back the other day after buying a wedding gift at Williams Sonoma. Start here – you’ll get a $10 gift card after your first purchase of $25 or more.
