Come to the West 7th shopping district on Tuesday, Aug. 4 for their weekly free Mommy & Me Playtime session. The hourlong playdates for parents and younger kids start at 10 a.m. During August, the playtime activities will focus on items from the kitchen. Here’s what the website says:
Come learn how to take creative play and turn it into a community wide movement of items found in your kitchen! What can we do with stale bread, pretzels, seeds, nut and seed spreads like sunflower butter (help mom & dad clean out the pantry and reclaim your old food)? What role do birds play in germinating our project into new growth? Come see how creative play can make learning fun for all ages!
The activities take place at the large space at 820 Currie St., across from Sweet Sammies. Bring a pillow or blanket to sit on.
