Like trying new consumer products? How about getting high-value coupons and even free stuff? Then you should definitely become a member of Vocalpoint, a word-of-mouth marketing site that helps the public get familiar with new products by creating “buzz” about them. It’s similar to the BzzAgent program – members are given free product samples and coupons in the hope that they’ll tell their friends about how great they are. The only difference with Vocalpoint is that you are never required to submit a report on how you promoted the product. (BzzAgent sets a minimum number of reports that you should send in.) Both programs are free to join.
Vocalpoint also has lots of other content on how to live well, like little tips on cleaning, recipes, activity suggestions for kids, and so forth.
I’ve only been a member of Vocalpoint for a few months, but already I’ve gotten a sample of Kashi cereal (along with a coupon for a free full-sized box), a full sized jar of Olay ProX, and I’ve sent away for a free bottle of Pantene shampoo, though it hasn’t arrived yet. The key to this program is to sign up ahead of the time that the samples are released – if you join on the day you hear about the offer, you may not qualify for it.
Also, there’s another word-of-mouth program that I just heard of a few days ago: General Mills’ Pssst…Network. I’m new to the panel, so I’m not sure exactly what benefits members will receive, but chances are good that you’ll get significant discounts and/or freebies of General Mills products.
