PhotobucketCome by Log Cabin Village in Fort Worth this Saturday, Oct. 15 for their Frontier Fall Fest. Kids can get an up-close look at what life was like in “the olden days” by participating in activities like shelling corn, threshing wheat and grinding grain by hand. There will also be apple bobbing, rounds of the card game Faro, and more. Bring your own carved or painted pumpkin to enter their “best design” contest (judging takes place at 3 p.m.) The Buttermilk Junction Old Time String Band will provide live music.

The Frontier Fall Fest is free with regular Log Cabin Village admission ($4 for kids ages 4-17; $4.50 for 18+, free for kids 3 and under).

Log Cabin Village is at 2100 Log Cabin Village Lane in FW. See directions here.
