This one’s closer to Dallas, but it might be worth the drive for some: Throughout the month of November, Remington College is holding Cuts for the Cause, an annual drive to collect food for families in need. Everyone who donates a can of food or other non-perishable food item can receive a free haircut, manicure or pedicure. The salon services will be provided by students and instructors in the Remington College Dallas Campus Cosmetology Program.
To schedule an appointment, call The Salon at Remington at 972-698-3890. Walk-ins are also welcome. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Remember that these students are still learning, so your service might take longer than it does at a normal salon.
