Friday, Nov. 12 marks the start of the weekend-long Fort Worth Greek Festival, now in its 43rd year. Come out to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church on Friday, Saturday or Sunday for a good time, Greek-style. Admission is free. While there, you can take part in:
- Church tours – tours, as well as an introduction to the Greek Orthodox faith, will be given at various times during the day
- Dancing – watch the St. Demetrios Greek Dancers show their stuff
- Shopping – see here for an example of the things that will be for sale
And, of course, there’s food! Food is purchased with festival tokens, which are available for $1 each. They’ll have complete lunches and dinners, as well as a la carte items like gyros and spanakopita. See the complete menu here.
Hours for the festival are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. St. Demetrios is at 2121 NW 21st St.
