photo fwparadeoflights_zps9d19a4fe.pngThis Friday, Nov. 28 is the Fort Worth Parade of Lights (now known as the XTO Energy Parade of Lights). This fantastic annual Christmas parade has been around since 1983 and features over 100 floats! The parade gets rolling around 6 p.m. and proceeds around the downtown area. Find route information here. As you can see, many of the prime spots are ticketed entrance only, so if you want to be sure to get a good viewing, reserve a spot or get there super early.

Downtown will be very crowded for the parade. You can avoid driving in the mess by taking a free shuttle from Farrington Field (corner of Lancaster and University) from 2-6 p.m. to the Intermodal Transportation Center, which is within walking distance of the parade route. If you want to drive, see parking info here.

After the parade, you can take photos with Santa from 8-10 p.m. More info on Santa photos here.
