On Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 5-7), River Legacy Park in Arlington will sponsor After Dark in the Park, a fun, family-oriented festival featuring storytelling, karaoke, pumpkin patch, animal encounters, bounce houses and a variety of children’s games, crafts and activities. The festival runs from 5-9 p.m. each night. Admission is $7 per person; kids 2 and under are free. All proceeds benefit the environmental education programs of River Legacy Living Science Center.
River Legacy will also sponsor a pumpkin-carving/pumpkin-decorating contest during the three days of the event. To enter, see the details on this page; you simply take a photo of yourself with your carved or decorated pumpkin and e-mail it in. The pumpkins with the most votes in each category win.
