Here is our list of the Best Fall Festivals in Dallas-Fort Worth:

SEPTEMBER

Fright Fest {September 21 – November 3}
This party at Six Flags Over Texas is one of the best themed Halloween parties in Texas. Head out to Arlington, wear your favorite costume, single day tickets start at $50.

Fort Worth Oktoberfest {September 26 – 28}
Oktoberfest comes early this year, starting with the “tapping of the kegs”! This three day festival is great for German beer lovers and also includes live music, a 5K Fun Run, competitions, dancing, weiner dog races, and more. Admission is just $5 on Thursday and $10 for the weekend.

Lewisville Western Days {September 27 & 28}
Reserve your ticket before 7 pm and your admission is free! Tickets after 7 pm are $10 each. Children 12 and younger are always free. There will be a real cattle drive, live music, a fair, a kid’s zone, and more.

McKinney OktoberFest {September 27 – 29}
This festival has food, drinks, games, and fun for just $1 each! Admission is free and open to all. The party is going down in Historic Downtown McKinney.

State Fair of Texas {September 27 – October 20}
One of the most iconic events in the state, this festival includes live music, thrilling rides, photo ops, sports matches, carnival foods, and more.

Maize Days {September 28}
At the Murphy Municipal Complex, enjoy live music, food and drinks, a kids zone, and more. The festival is free and open to the public!

OCTOBER

Southlake Oktoberfest {October 4 – 6}
Southlake Town Square is hosting an Oktoberfest with handcrafted goods, live entertainment, an action-packed kids area, and more. Parking and admission are free, just bring cash or card for your food and shopping!

Dog Days of Denton {October 5}
This is one doggone festival! Head to downtown Denton for “glamfur” shots, a pup market, doggy contests, and more. Well behaved dogs on a leash are welcome, just be sure to pick up after them! Admission is free!

Cottonwood Art Festival {October 5 & 6}
Head to Richardson for some good, old fashioned, and artful fun! Make sure you stop at the ArtStop Children’s Area and catch a glimpse of the artists creating a mural! There will also be two stages and food trucks available.

Plano International Festival {October 12}
Cultures from around the world will be represented in Plano with cultural displays, culinary arts, and fun for the whole family! Pets on a leash are welcome as long as you pick up after them. Admission is free!

Prayer Lavender Garden Festival {October 12}
This family-friendly festival includes fun and games, bounce houses, spooky mini golf, pumpkin carving, and more. General admission is free, a child’s wrist band gets you $26 worth of fun for just $20. You can also purchase individual activity tickets.

First United Methodist Church Fall Festival {October 13}
Bring the whole family for this child-centered festival. Dinner will be served from The Hamburger Man. There will also be popcorn, inflatables, face painting, prizes, and more. Kids 2 and under are free. An adult dinner is $10 per plate. Children’s plates are also $10 for kids age 3 and up, which includes all the fun!

Bloomin’ Bluegrass Festival {October 18 & 19}
Friday and Saturday, you can boogie down at the Farmers Branch Historical Park! There will be live music all, day, both days along with food trucks, merchandise, and more. Kids 12 and under are free, everyone else is just $10. Buy a weekend pass for just $15!

Water Lantern Festival {October 19}
This evening festival is wildly popular and just one attendance will show you why! Head to Globe Life Park to create your own water lantern and set it afloat. Admission is $25 per adult and $12 for kids aged 8 – 14. Kids under 8 are free!

Texas Mushroom Festival {October 19}
Celebrate this culinary delight with local cuisine, Texas wine, cooking demos, a car show, and fun for the kids! Admission and parking are free.

ArtsGoggle {October 19}
This local festival celebrates art and handmade goods. More than 1,000 visual artists, 50 musical acts, artistic installations, and more fun! There will also be food and drink vendors. This event is free to attend and family friendly!

Ennis Autumn Days {October 26}
This small town festival has everything you’re craving. There will be a hay maze, rock climbing, paddle boats, live music, shopping, and more. This year, there will also be trick-or-treating for the kids and a craft beer garden for the grown ups! Admission is free.

SteinFest {October 25 & 26}
Karbach Brewery is hosting their annual festival, complete with German-inspired cuisine, live music, contests, games, and Weiner Dog Fashion Show!

FWBF Fall Festival {October is 26}
Fort Worth Bible Fellowship is hosting a free Fall Festival for the community! Kids and families are welcome. Activities will include live music, hayrides, face painting, fall crafts, and more. The party is free to enter and going on from 3 – 8 pm.

NOVEMBER

Blues, Bandits, and BBQ {November 1}
This annual festival includes some of the best BBQ around. There will be BBQ tastings with voting afterwards, live music, and more. Admission is free and kids and pets on leashes are welcome.

Texas Veggie Fair {November 2}
This festival celebrates healthy foods and lifestyles with demonstrations, live speakers, food, fun, and games. The event is going down at the Dallas Farmers Market from 11 am to 6 pm.

Unity of Dallas Fall Festival {November 2}
This local church is hosting a free fall festival open to the public! Food and fun will be going down from 11 am to 3 pm.

The Biggest Food Truck Festival in Dallas {November 3}
At the Verizon Theatre, some of the best food trucks around will be on site for your Epicurean desires. Many different types of cuisine will be available as well as a kids zone, art show, carnival games, and more.

Fort Worth Greek Festival {November 8 – 10}
For 52 years in a row, Fort Worth has celebrated Greek culture, food, and art with this awesome festival at St. Demetrios Green Orthodox Church. There will be food, dancing, Agora, and more.

Festival Del Mariachi {November 24}
Head to La Gran Plaza de Fort Worth for an afternoon of Mariachi music. Bring the whole family, lay down a picnic blanket, and enjoy this lively Mexican entertainment. Admission is free, the show starts at 1 pm.

Fall Festival at First Christian Church {November 30}
Hosted by First Christian Church, this fall festival includes free carnival games, local vendors, carnival food, and more. Admission and games are free, plus you get tickets to turn in for prizes!
