Art Dedication at T&P TerminalCome out to Fort Worth’s Texas & Pacific terminal on Saturday, March 26, for the dedication of Freedom Train, a new art installation in the terminal that highlights the special significance that rail has had in the town’s African American community. The art installation stands at the wall that once separated black travelers from white travelers.

Artist Jeff Gottfried was commissioned by Fort Worth Public Art to design the piece. Gottfried, a former school teacher, has created works for several hospitals, churches and other facilities throughout Texas.

Fort Worth City Council members Frank Moss, Kathleen Hicks and Joel Burns and Star-Telegram columnist Bob Ray Sanders are scheduled to speak at the event, which begins at 11 a.m.

T&P Terminal is at 1221 Lancaster Ave. in Fort Worth.
