Unless you are an ultra- marathoner, you probably can’t keep up with that so bringing your pet to an 0ff-leash dog park is your next best bet. There are dozens of dog parks in and around Dallas-Fort Worth but they aren’t all created equally! We’re bringing you the very best- the dog parks with the most room, the best shade, water features, and amenities. If your favorite park isn’t on the list, maybe it’s time for a new favorite!

Dallas
White Rock Lake Dog Park– A little outside of Dallas lies White Rock Lake which has one of the largest dog parks around. With 3 acres, lake entrance, separate parks for large and small dogs, and all of the amenities, you’ll never need another dog park.
Central Christian Church Community Dog Park– This Dallas dog park is cared for by the church but they welcome the public! Open during daylight hours. They offer fans, seating, and plenty of shade.
My Best Friend’s Park– This off-leash park located inside Klyde Warren Park is a small, inner-city park for the urban folks. With several water features, seating options, and even some hills to roll down, Fido will have a great time.
North Bark Dog Park– This gated dog park in Dallas features a large pond, plenty of seating, some shady trees, and pet waste facilities. They also offer separate areas for large and small dogs. Bring your own water.
Fort Worth
Fort Woof Dog Park- This fenced, off-leash Fort Worth dog park does not have many of the amenities as other parks on this list. However, the park is large and great for large-breed dogs who need to walk upwards of 10 miles per day. They offer covered seating, agility training structures, and a watering station. They also have separate areas for large and small dogs. They’re closed Mondays mornings until 11 am.
Z Bons Dog Park– This park is located on a former golf course and features 10 acres split between large and small dog parks. The large dog park is 7 acres! There are aerated ponds in each section, plus covered seating, agility structures, pet fountains, and more. They’re closed on Mondays.
Arlington
Tails n Trails– This Arlington dog park is the only one in the area where we’ve found wooded trails INSIDE the park! You’ll find it in the big dog section. There is also a section for small dogs. They also keep the grass pretty green and have watering stations, waste stations, benches, and a few covered seating options. They’re closed Tuesdays until noon.
Grapevine
McInnish Dog Park– This relatively large dog park offers a large pond for swimming, water features for playing, water fountains, some shade, and seating options. They’re closed Fridays until 10 am.
Hound Mound Dog Park– This park in Flower Mound has plenty of grassy areas but the real stand- out is their abundance of agility training structures. They also offer seating options, water fountains, separate sections for large and small breeds, and some shade.
