While we, as Texas residents, don’t have to file state taxes, $5 is still a great deal for tax prep – Turbo Tax and the like cost at least $20, if not more. The package says it can handle both simple and complex returns, and a free e-filing is included. There are no shipping fees or additional costs since the package is delivered electronically.
This deal is over at 11 a.m. on Feb. 24, so buy soon before it’s too late.
Of course, if you have a super-simple return – like if you’re filing a 1040EZ with no deductions or special things – then you can always use TurboTax online for free.
