White Settlement Settlers' Day FestivalThis Saturday, Oct. 13 from 1-6 p.m. is the Settlers’ Day Festival in White Settlement. This event is held yearly at Veterans Park to commemorate the founding of the city in 1849. Admission is free! Activities include kids activities, games, family fun, music and more. For $5, you can participate in the judging of the Chili Cook-Off; sampling begins at 4:30 p.m.

Before the festival starts, there will also be a Settlers’ Day Parade beginning at 10 a.m. The parade will begin at Brewer Middle School (Gibbs and South Cherry Lane), travel north on S. Cherry Lane, and then go west on White Settlement Road to the Civic Center Complex at White Settlement Road and Meadow Park Drive.

Veterans Park is at 8901 Clifford St. in White Settlement.
