On Saturday, Dec. 21, two hockey rinks in DFW will host a “Try Hockey for Free” day for kids, as a way to introduce them to the sport of ice hockey. The participating venues are Ice at the Parks in Arlington and NYTEX Sports Centre in North Richland Hills. The Arlington event will start at 2 p.m., and the NYTEX event starts at 3:15. Certified coaches will be on hand to teach your child the basics of hockey, with equipment provided.
