This Saturday, Sept. 1, is another installment of Science Saturdays at the Botanical Research Institute of Texas. Come by from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and enjoy a variety of botany-themed activities, including:
- Tours at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
- Exhibit hall open for viewing
- Plant Preservation Studio – open for visitors to meet a BRIT botanist and learn about their plant collection
- Self-guided tours of their LEED Platinum building are available
- Visitors may also explore the pocket prairie, geology wall, braided gardens, and wetland area
The first Saturday of the month is also the date of Bella’s Story Time, a free hour-long program in BRIT’s Burk Children’s Library. Along with their kids, parents, grandparents or guardians enjoy an interactive read aloud side-by-side, and explore hands-on nature activities inspired by the story. This activity is from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
BRIT is at 1700 University Drive in Fort Worth
