The reason I haven’t been posting about the Lowe’s Build & Grow Workshops lately is because – well, because now the website offers pre-registration, and many of the workshops fill up weeks before the actual workshop takes place. But many stores still have spaces open for their Feb. 23 kids’ workshop – the featured project is a Monster Jam Grave Digger big-wheel truck toy. (There is also a Valentine’s-themed workshop on Feb. 9, but most stores are already full.) If you really want to think ahead, you can also sign up for the March 9 workshop, which is another Monster Jam truck. (Click “More Clinics” to see this one and register for it.)
Lowe’s Build & Grow Workshops are free, and help kids learn valuable crafting skills. They are best suited for kids ages 5-12. In addition to the completed project to take home, kids also receive a blue Lowe’s apron and a patch for each project they complete.
Also, another heads up: On Saturday, Feb. 2, Home Depot will have its own kids’ workshop at local stores. See more info on the workshop here. No pre-registration is required for Home Depot’s kids’ events.
