Fun Event: Shakespeare Zombie PlayThis sounds like a lot of fun with Halloween right around the corner! On Friday and Saturday, Oct. 12 and 13, Arts Fifth Avenue will present an outdoor version of “William Shakespeare’s Land of the Dead,” an account of a zombie plague in 1599. While not written by the Bard himself, Will is a character, along with Queen Elizabeth and Sir Thomas Bacon. Set in the newly built Globe Playhouse right after the first production of Henry the Fifth, the story takes a turn when the theatre becomes the refuge of the Queen during an attack of zombie plague victims whose bite brings death, or worse…

Audience members are encouraged, but not required, to wear zombie makeup and attire. On both nights, the show starts at 8 p.m. Admission is a suggested $10 donation.

Arts Fifth Avenue is at 1628 5th Ave. in Fort Worth.
