If your home was one of the ones affected by the terrible tornadoes in Arlington a few months ago, you may be eligible to receive free trees to help replenish your yard. The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation has given the city a $40,000 grant, which will enable the planting of 1,000 new trees around the city. Each eligible household will be allowed to select four, 10-gallon trees from a list of approved species. The trees will be planted in November with help from Arlington Southwest Little League and other volunteers.
To be considered for trees, fill out this application. You will have until Sept. 15 to get your paperwork in.
