Summer is almost here – and local theater chains are getting into the spirit by re-launching their cheap or free summer kids’ movie series. You can take your bored-at-home kids to the theater, relax (in the air conditioning) and see a movie for a fraction of normal price. Here’s who’s participating this year –
Rave Motion Pictures – they have a Free Family Film Festival; all shows start at 10 a.m., admission is free! First show is June 4 at the Fort Worth and Hurst locations.
Cinemark – their Summer Movie Clubhouse program offers 10 shows for $5 (if purchased in advance) or $1 per show if purchased at the box office. Participating theaters in Mansfield, Frisco, Dallas, Plano and Allen; days and times vary, but they’re always on weekdays and usually in the morning. Mansfield’s movies start May 23!
Regal – Summer Movie Express offers movie admission for just $1! The only theater participating in DFW is the Fossil Creek 11 in Fort Worth. Movies start on June 5.
Studio Movie Grill – their Children’s Summer Series gets your kids admission for just $1; adults are $2. Starts June 5.
Harkins Theatres – Summer Movie Fun begins on June 4; individual tickets per show are $2, or buy a 10-movie pass for $6. The Southlake 14 is the only Harkins location in DFW.
Premiere Cinemas – On Wacky Wednesdays, movies are just $1! Shows start at 10 a.m. First show is June 13. Location in Burleson.
