Every Friday, I feature a fun and budget-friendly option in the Greater Boston area. The “Feature Friday” is typically mentioned on the Cheap Eats list, Free Things to Do in Boston, or Discount Attractions. However, there’s so much budget-friendly ideas on my pages, I thought it would be fun to feature something budget-friendly and different each week. Also, each Feature Friday is something I have personal experience with or took advantage of recently! Enjoy!
However, this week I am cheating. Sorry.
I am not cheating in the fact that I am feature something I had personal experience with and took advantage of recently. I did. I am cheating (a little) in the fact that it may not be entirely budget-friendly. Let’s see how this post goes.
A week or two ago, I joined Blog and Tweet Boston and local Boston bloggers for a very fabulous lunch at Del Frisco’s in the Seaport District. It was so fabulous. I rarely go to blog events because I have a hard time connecting my fun Boston experiences to the budget-friendly blog. I sometimes feel guilty taking part of free blogger perks if there’s no benefit to you.
BUT, I really wanted to try Del Frisco’s after a co-worker was raving about a business dinner there, and I wanted to meet local bloggers too. I decided to go and see if in some way I can provide some benefit to you too.
I am so glad I finally checked out Del Frisco’s. The service was very attentive, the harbor views are beautiful, and the food was amazing. There was so much food, I cannot tell you hos much I actually ate or what my favorite food was because everything was so fabulous. I almost turned down steak at the end because I was so full, but it smelled and tasted so good…
I didn’t have dinner that night because I was still so full from lunch. That never happens to me.
If you haven’t been to Del Frisco’s, I definitely recommended placing it on your “to-eat” list and “splurge” list. I would love to come back for an anniversary dinner in the future. (Yes, that was a hint to you, hubby).
If you would like to view Del Frisco’s menu, please head here.
Del Frisco’s also offers $49 Prime Pair Prixe Fixe Menu every Sunday at Del Frisco’s that includes an 8 oz hand-cut filet paired with a choice of signature crab cake, lemon-garlic scallops, or bbq-spiced shrimp and a salad & side.
Also, starting on Sunday, March 16, 2014 Dine Out Boston kicks off for two weeks and Del Frisco’s is participating during lunch for $25 per person! Del Frisco’s is offering a mixed green salad for the first course, dark chocolate mousse for dessert and a choice of 6 oz. Filet or 8 oz. Salmon for an entrée. For more information or to view the Dine Out menu, please head here.
Note: My meal (excluding gratuity) was complimentary, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Also, if you are a blogger or are a local blogger, I definitely recommend getting involved in the blog community. You don’t have to be a big blogger to get big perks 🙂 Feel free to contact me anytime if you have any questions about starting a blog!
Okay, so I cheated with this week but it eventually tied into budget-friendly with the upcoming Dine Out Boston and Sunday dinner deal, right?
