There’s a lot of inexpensive and fun things to do this weekend in Boston for the first weekend in June!! Here’s some ideas:
Pride Day @ Faneuil Hall: Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 10am to 5pm. Enjoy live entertainment by local artists, Zumba classes, karaoke and an appearance by Kristen Merlin from The Voice.
Dorchester Day Parade: Sunday, June 7, 2015 starting at 1pm. Celebrate Dorchester Day with a parade starting in Lower Mills at the corner of Washington Street & Dorchester Avenue.
South Boston Open Studios: June 6-7, 2015. The artists and craftspeople of South Boston open their doors to share their work for free with Spring Open Studios!
Coolidge Corner Arts Festival: Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 10-6pm. Head to Coolidge Corner to view work from over 75 artists!
Cambridge River Festival: Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 12-6pm in Cambridge. Check out this annual celebration of the arts with family activities, music, food and more!
Free Fishing Weekend: June 6-7, 2015 across Massachusetts. No fishing license is required in Massachusetts this weekend so fish for free!
Bank of America’s Museum on Us: Saturday and Sunday, June 6-7, 2015. Bank of America & Merrill Lynch cardholders can get into select museums the first weekend of every month for free by showing their bank card (per cardholder, not family). Museum of Fine Arts, MIT Museum and other museums across the state participate.
Kid Price Saturday at Zoo New England: Pay and feel like a kid the first Saturday of every month at Franklin Park Zoo between 10 a.m. & noon for just $11.95. Head to Stoneham, MA to the Stone Zoo between 10am-12pm and pay $10.95 for admission.
Harvard Art Museums: Massachusetts residents are admitted free every Saturday morning from 10am to Noon year-round with proof of residency
Harvard Museum of Natural History: Massachusetts residents are admitted free every Sunday morning from 9am to Noon year-round with proof of residency.
Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology: Massachusetts residents are admitted free every Sunday morning from 9am to Noon year-round with proof of residency
