There’s a lot of fun things to do in the Greater Boston area this weekend! Below are a few ideas of things to do that don’t cost much:

The 33rd Annual MayFair in Harvard Square: Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 12-6pm in Harvard Square. Head to the streets of Harvard Square for a spring time tradition with four stages of music, over 30 dance troupes, food, crafts, street art, and much more!

ArtWeek Boston: April 29, 2016 to May 8, 2016. Enjoy this 10-day festival with over 100 different events celebrating the arts in Boston! Events are $0-$50, depending on the event.

CraftBoston Spring 2016: April 29, 2016 to May 1, 2016 at Cyclorama in the South End. Enjoy this annual show with great art, craft, and design. Discount tickets for 3-day passes can be found at Goldstar Boston (affiliate link).

Harvard Arts First Festival: April 28, 2016 to May 1, 2016 at Harvard University. Check out Harvard’s Annual Showcase of creativity with art from both students and faculty. Free and open to the public.

Annual Boston College Arts Festival: April 28-30, 2016 at Boston College. Enjoy performances and exhibits in a celebration of the arts.

Cinco de Mayo Block Party: Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 1-5pm at Taza Chocolates in Somerville. Enjoy an afternoon of food, music and celebration! Free.

Walk for Hunger: May 1, 2016 at Boston Common. Join over 40,000 people to walk and help end hunger in this 10-mile walk along the Charles River. $45 registration fee for day of event.

Healthy Kids Day at the YMCA: Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Greater Boston YMCA locations. Celebrate Healthy Kids Day at the YMCA with free activities and fun open to everyone.

Somerville Open Studios: April 30-May 1, 2016 from 12-6pm in Somerville! Hundreds of local artists are opening their studio doors for free this weekend!

Brookline Open Studios: April 30-May 1, 2016 from 11-5pm in Brookline. Head to local artists studios this weekend as they open up their doors for free!

Opening Day at the South End Open Market: Every Sunday though October from 10-4pm at the Ink Block! Enjoy three amazing markets every Sunday at a new location, the Ink Block! Enjoy a farmers market, handcrafted goods, and delicious food trucks at the South End Open Market!

Out of the Blue Artist Market: Every Saturday in April in Cambridge. Are you looking for something out of the blue? Check out this pop up market happening every Saturday in April.

The Big Apple Circus The Grand Tour: Daily until May 8, 2016 at City Hall Plaza. Check out the Big Apple Circus in Boston with many discount ticket options.

Harvard Art Museums: Massachusetts residents are admitted free every Saturday morning from 10am to Noon year-round with proof of residency

Harvard Museum of Natural History: Massachusetts residents are admitted free every Sunday morning from 9am to Noon year-round with proof of residency

Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology: Massachusetts residents are admitted free every Sunday morning from 9am to Noon year-round with proof of residency
