Happy (long) weekend! Here’s a few ideas of some fun (and inexpensive) things to do this extra long weekend!

Faneuil Hall Street Performers Festival: October 12-14, 2013 at Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Celebrate the world-famous street performers at Faneuil Hall for three days!

South Street Diner Pumpkin Carving Event: Sunday, October 13, 2013 from 2-4pm in the South Street Diner. The South Street Diner is hosting a fun day of pumpkin carving, apple cider, trick-or-treating, and more. Costumes encouraged.

Canstruction Boston: Starting Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 290 Congress Street. Canstruction is a non-profit organization that holds design competitions solely based from canned goods. All canned goods are donated to a food bank afterward. Free. (If you can’t make it, check out the pictures online, so cool!)

Ulta Cut-A-Thon: Sunday, October 13, 2013 from 11am-6pm at Ulta Salons. With a donation, get a free shampoo and haircut at Ulta Salons to help fight breast cancer. First come, first serve: walk-ins only.

Moonapalooza: Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 7pm at the Harvard Smithsonian Center in Cambridge. Gaze at the moon and enter some moon trivia. Free.

Radio BDC Live on the Square: Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 12pm at Union Square in Somerville. Radio BDC is throwing a free concert with five different acts all afternoon.

Opening Our Doors 2013: Monday, October 14, 2013 from 10-4pm in the Fenway Cultural District. Enjoy a free day of an array of cultural experiences in the Fenway Cultural District.

Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum Opening Our Doors Day: Monday, October 14, 2013 starting at 10am. On Monday Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is opening their doors for free timed admission starting at 10am.

Fall Open House at the MFA Monday, October 14, 2013. The MFA is free all day on Monday!

Honk! Festival of Activist Street Bands: October 11-13, 2013 in Davis Square. Check out the unique street music festival this weekend in the streets of Somerville. Free.

Customer Appreciation Day at Sal’s Pizza: Saturday, October 12th at participating Sal’s Pizza (Southern NH & Mass). Score a pizza for just $5.55 for customer appreciation day and .55 of your order will go to the United Way.

CollegeFest 2013: October 12-13, 2013 at the Hynes Convention Center. College students stop by the Hynes Convention to grab swag, enjoy free entertainment and more. $15 for a 2-day pass or $10 for a Sunday pass. (Also, check with your local school or social media for discount tickets and giveaways).

Free Fries at Burger King: October 12-13 2013 at participating Burger Kings. Try the new satisfries from Burger King this weekend– no coupon needed!
